Adriana López de Alba Gómez is an Environmental Engineer from the Autonomous Metropolitan University (Mexico) with a specialization in integral waste management. During the first years of her career she worked for the Secretary of the Environment of the Federal District (now Mexico City) where she was one of the main designers and implementers of the first comprehensive solid waste management plan for the city.
She subsequently worked as an environmental auditor for approximately three years, after which she moved to Canada to study a Master's Degree in Environmental and Resource Studies at the University of Waterloo.
She is expert in sustainability and with years of work in corporate social responsibility, she joined the National Agency for Industrial Safety and Environmental Protection of the Hydrocarbons Sector (ASEA) where she was first Advisor to the Executive Director and now Director of International Cooperation.
